Donate to Squiggle Giving
We are principally asking people to remember the Squiggle Giving in their Wills. You can either leave a specific sum of money or a share of your estate. If you are happy to leave it to the Trustees to decide which charities should benefit then there is nothing else you need to do.
On the other hand, if you know which charities you want to make gifts to in your Will then you can tell the Trustees and they will take that into account when making distributions. In this way, you would be able to leave a sum of money or share of your estate to Squiggle Giving in your Will and write a letter of wishes at the same time expressing your wishes as to how you would like the money to be spent. In the future you could easily change your mind about potential recipients of the money by simply re-writing the letter of wishes without having to amend the Will.
To put Squiggle Giving in your Will or to make a donation you can:
Make a new Will. If on the other hand, you do not already have a Will or you do but want to make other changes as well, so long as you include a gift to Squiggle Giving in your new Will, Squiggle Consult will provide this free of charge. Alternatively, please contact your solicitor to make a Will or amend your existing Will.
Make a donation. This could either be a one-off gift or you could set up a standing order on a monthly or annual basis. In addition, if you are a UK tax payer, you can also elect to make the gift under the Gift Aid Scheme so both you and the Foundation benefit from the tax savings.
Thank you! We will be in touch in due course.
